Fogo Island Film 2018 presents Death by Design

Fogo Island Arts is proud to launch Fogo Island Film, a new program devoted to international films that consider the diversity of relationships between nature and society. The inaugural edition, Resistance and Resilience, will take place at the Fogo Island Inn cinema and Death by Design will be screened on Thursday, August 16 at 6:30pm.

Death by Design debunks the notion that electronics is a 'clean' industry by revealing the human and environmental cost of electronic gadgets that are designed to die.

Fogo Island Film 2018: Resistance and Resilience is co-curated by researcher and theorist Goran Petrović Lotina and FIA Director of Programs and Exhibitions Alexandra McIntosh.
